“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to give you hope and a future.’”  We find this promise in Jeremiah, and the promise continues… “When you seek me with your whole heart, you will find me.”  

For over 15 years the Lord has been using Loving Liberia to bring hope and a brighter future to the children of Liberia through the Perry Geevon Smith Lutheran Schools in Monrovia and River Cess, Liberia.  These students are learning these promises and more, all while receiving an excellent education they might not otherwise have access to, and therefore raising them out of the poverty that surrounds them in Liberia.  Thank you to all who have partnered with us to bring the gospel and education to hundreds of children these past several years.   

“When you seek me with your whole heart you will find me.”  The board and leadership of Loving Liberia has been seeking God’s guidance on what He has for the future of Loving Liberia.  The Lord has blessed the leadership by fostering a relationship with the Change Agent Network.  The Change Agent Network is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization committed to transforming Liberia through education, faith, and economic empowerment.  Their approach to launching locally sustainable schools relies on strong partnerships between the global community, local stakeholders, and the organization itself.  By sharing these responsibilities, they build schools that thrive within the communities they serve.  What an answer to prayer for Loving Liberia!  

So, after much prayer and council, Loving Liberia has partnered with the Change Agent Network and has obtained land to build a newer, larger school to continue our mission.  We have been hard at work clearing this land and preparing it.  This new school will house 420 children, K-12, and the school will have a science lab, computer lab, library, cafeteria, and 15 classrooms, along with offices.  

However, we cannot do this without continued support from friends like you.  We first and foremost ask for your prayers.  Second, we need bricks and mortar- literally!  Bricks are a dollar a piece, and bags of cement are $10.  We need 15,000 bricks and 100 bags of cement.  Please pray and consider how many bricks or bags of cement you may be able to help purchase.  Again, bricks are only a dollar, and bags of cement are only $10.  Maybe your Sunday school class or small group or your friends and family can all go in together to make a greater impact.
